Linking Profiles and Listings

Linking Profiles and Listings is easy and provides you with more exposure for both the Person or Organisation Profile, and the News, Event, Product or Service Listing.

Linking Profiles and Listings may be performed by a single member if they published both the Profile and the Listing. Alternatively it may be performed across two member accounts, if one member published the Profile and a different member published the Listing.

When a Profile and Listing are linked, the Profile appears on the Listing, and the Listing appears on the Profile. This is a great way for a professional Individual or Organisation to build a comprehensive presence on Eco.Base. You can see an example here.

You can link Profiles to Listings, and you can also link People Profiles to an Organisation Profile. It is currently not possible to link Listings to Listings, Organisations to Organisations, nor People to People.

Linking your own Profiles and Listings

How to link your own Organisation Profile to your own Listings

To create the link from the Listing, edit the Listing and search for the Organisation to link it to.

To create the link from the Organisation, view your Organisation Profile within your Account and then select the listing type you'd like to link under the 'Linked Listings' heading.

How to link your own People Profiles to your own Listings

To create the link from the Listing, edit the Listing and search for the Person to link it to.

To create the link from the Person, view your Person Profile within your Account and then select the listing type you'd like to link under the 'Linked Listings' heading.

Linking your Person Profile to another member's Listings

How To link one of your own Person Profiles to another member's Event Listing

Currently it is only possible to link a Person Profile to another member's Event Listings. Linking to other members' News, Product and Service Listings is not yet supported.

Once you have logged in, access your People Profiles from the admin panel. Under the 'Linked Listings' section for the Person Profile you wish to update, choose 'Events'. Select the tab 'Link Other User's Events' and then search for the title of the Event Listing you'd like to link the Person Profile to.

The other user will be notified of the request and has the right to remove the link if they think it is not suitable.

Linking your Organisation Profile to another member's Listings

It is not currently possible to link your Organisation to another member's Listings.

Currently it is only possible to link your Organisation Profile to another member's Event Listings. Linking to other members' News, Product and Service Listings is not yet supported.

From the logged-in admin panel, select your Organisation in the side menu and then select 'Events' from under the 'Linked Listings' area. Select the tab to 'Request a link to other user's Event'. Search for the Event Listing you want to link to and hit submit.

The other user will be notified of the request and has the right to remove the link if they think it is not suitable.

Linking your Listing to another member's Person Profile

It is not currently possible to link your Listings to another member's Person Profile.

Linking your Listing to another member's Organisation Profile

It is not currently possible to link your listing to another Organisation's Profile.
